TrueRoll Research
Composition of Rental Housing and Ownership in Seattle, WA
- Rob Ross, Director of Product @TrueRoll
Housing affordability is a critical urban issue in the US, but policymakers are often hampered in their efforts to address the issue by a lack of sound data. Questions that seem straightforward - how many affordable units exist in Seattle? - are very difficult to answer in practice. In this white paper, TrueRoll leverages a variety of public and proprietary data sources to answer various questions about Seattle's housing stock, real property ownership, and rental trends. TrueRoll also provides the City of Seattle with a series of recommendations to improve the availability and reliability of data assets maintained by the City, as well as the King County Assessor's Office.
