TrueRoll's story begins with its founders.
Tyler Masterson, a strategic advisor at the time, and Joe Walsh, a data scientist, spent years working in the public sector and wanted to start a business that improved the government's ability to deliver services to its constituents. Seeing outdated tax rolls and infrequent audits costing governments millions, they envisioned a way to automate homestead administration. Automation could ease hardworking assessors' workloads, ensure eligible taxpayers receive tax benefits, and identify ineligibilities to transform how governments manage their homestead administration.
Looking ahead
Today, TrueRoll has automated over 120 government offices in over 10 states. The TrueRoll team continues to stay hyper-focused on homestead administration. The mission is to bring this tech to tax offices everywhere to boost compliance, protect revenue, uncover unclaimed exemptions, and save assessors valuable time.

Our members have PhD’s in data science, masters degrees in public policy, masters in computer science, political science majors, local government experience, and are trained educators, fraud analysts, and veterans of homestead exemption research.
